Dark and Stormy Birthday build

It's my birthday. One of my sisters got me a lego lighthouse and ginger beer for making a cocktail known as the Dark & Stormy. I think this is all an Outer Banks of NC related theme as they have some great light houses and the Dark & Stormy has become our OBX family vacation cocktail of choice. My other sister got me new wool socks in red and blue as I pretty much only wear socks that are not of the same color at one time and am a huge stereo 3d nerd. This is probably pretty clear from the video.

Any way as luck would have it on my birthday hurricane Irene hit the east cost, my lego giving sister's family evacuated as they live 10-20min from the coast in NC. The hurricane was also supposed to be headed to Maryland where my other sister lives. In honor of all the fun and my birthday I made a Dark & Stormy, built my lego light house, wore my new 3d socks and filmed it all in 3d time lapse!

Colossal Inertia Drummer

I drumed for a few years (and hopefully again soon) in a band called "Colossal Inertia" or C.I. for short. I always wore a gorilla suite with some kind of helmet. The last year or two I have been wearing an old white helicopter helmet with a medic "+" sign on it made of red and black duck tape and a rabbit ear antenna on the back. With the new gorilla suit mini-fig I figure it was time to try and make a mini-fig version of myself. Here it is.

And here is what I looked like for real incase you were wondering.

And what did C.I. sound like you ask? Well here are a few clips of C.I. in action. The first two are from when we were a four piece band and the last clip is C.I. as a two piece band. The sound is off of a camcorder and a point and shoot internal mic. I'm sure we sound a lot better and a lot louder in person.

Get out those red and blue 3D glasses!
